Located in the heart of Berlin, and only ten minutes away from the main station, the Titanic Hotel Chaussee Berlin provides convenient access to the conference venue as well as many of the city's cultural and historical landmarks.

Getting to the Meeting Venue
The airport station ‘Flughafen BER‘ (BER Airport) is located directly under Terminal 1 on level U2. From here you can reach Terminal 1 check-in hall in just a few minutes. If you are flying from Terminal 2, please proceed to arrivals level E0 and follow the signs to Terminal 2 from there.
Airport Express (FEX)
With the tram-line M5 from Europaplatz direction Hohenschönhausen you will reach the stop Naturkundemuseum. Please get off at this station and turn on your left on the Chausseestraße. Just a 3-minute walk and you will see our Titanic Chaussee Berlin to your right hand side.

Registration
All meetings will take place at the Titanic Hotel Chaussee Berlin premises.
The registration desk will be located at the entrance to the Convention Area of the hotel. Please bring your ID card for accreditation and badge collection. With the exception of Thursday, the events are exclusively open to IADI members. The registration desk will be open during the following hours:
Badges should be carried throughout the meeting and social events.
Dress code for conference sessions: business casual Help and Information Desk The Help and Information Desk will be available throughout the conference week to assist participants with any conference-related questions or practical matters. Whether you require information on the programme, meeting rooms, transportation, local arrangements, or general event logistics, our team will be pleased to assist you. The Help and Information Desk is located at the entrance to the Convention Area and serves as the central point of contact for all participants and accompanying persons. We look forward to welcoming you and supporting you throughout the conference. Please note:
For attendees of the IADI International Conference on Thursday, October 29, 2026, a conference fee applies, with an early bird rate of EUR 290 available for registrations completed by August 6; thereafter, the fee will increase to EUR 350. Further information can be found via the registration link provided by IADI.

We recommend that you verify the visa and entry requirements for Germany prior to your travel and apply through the relevant German embassy or consulate in your country of residence.
We strongly advise starting the visa application process well in advance, as processing times may vary. Your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your planned date of entry into Germany.

Language
The official language of Germany is German. English is widely spoken in Berlin, especially in hotels, restaurants, shops and tourist areas, making it easy for international visitors to navigate the city. Time Zone
Berlin, Germany, operates on Central European Time (CET, UTC+1) and Central European Summer Time (CEST, UTC+2) during daylight saving time. In the night of October 24 to October 25 daylight saving time ends and clocks are set back by one hour.
Weather
Berlin has a temperate continental climate with four distinct seasons. In late October, average daytime temperatures range between 10–14°C (50–57°F), while nighttime temperatures typically fall to around 5–8°C (41–46°F). Weather conditions can be variable, with cool mornings and evenings and occasional rainfall. We recommend bringing layers.
Currency
The currency used in Germany is the Euro (€). Credit and debit cards are widely accepted; however, some smaller shops and restaurants may prefer cash. ATMs are readily available throughout the city.
Tips
Tipping is not mandatory in Germany, but it is customary to leave around 5–10% in restaurants if you are satisfied with the service. In other service areas such as hotels, taxis, and guided tours, tips are optional and given at your discretion.
Voltage and Plugs
Germany uses 230V electricity with European-style two-pin plugs (Type C and F). Please ensure that you bring the appropriate adapters for your electronic devices if necessary.

In case of emergency, please dial 112 for ambulance, fire, or emergency medical services. The police can be reached by dialing 110. The nearest hospital and emergency medical facilities are located within easy reach of the conference venue: Zentrale Notaufnahme (Rettungsstelle) at Campus Charité Mitte (CCM)

Berlin has an extensive public transport network (U-Bahn, S-Bahn, buses and trams) Tickets can be purchased via ticket machines or the BVG mobile app: tickets Taxis and ride-hailing services e.g. Uber are widely available.

As in any major international city, participants should remain aware of their personal belongings in crowded public areas.
